Nuts About Granola, headquartered in York, Pa., specializes in freshly made granola using natural and organic ingredients in uniquely delicious flavors.
Sarah Lanphier was a business student at Elizabethtown College when she first “went nuts.” As captain of her school’s triathlon team, Sarah lived an active lifestyle and incorporated her healthy habits into a creative fundraiser at her school, selling her soon-to-be-famous granola around campus. She soon realized she had found her passion in life and began developing her company in conjunction with her business classes.
In the spring of 2008, Sarah and her mother, Gayle Lanphier, launched Nuts About Granola.
Nuts About Granola is devoted to ensuring fresh, wholesome and hand mixed snacks to its customers. As a supporter of the “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” campaign, Nuts About Granola products are always fresh and have received the “PA Preferred” seal from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
Beyond local success, Nuts About Granola has been featured as the “Snack of the Day” on the Rachael Ray Show. The company was also chosen to provide its product in the official gift bags for the 31st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards.
In 2011, Nuts About Granola won several private label contracts and launched its co-manufacturing division, NAG Co-Pack. Three years later, NAG Co-Pack will open its very own facility to house and grow its current client base a few blocks away from its flagship store in the heart of downtown York City that opened in 2012.
In 2012, the company announced the launch of the first ever baking mix for granola, Granola Basics™, adding a new twist to the granola category.
As the company continues to grow Sarah and Gayle continue to uphold their core values of providing fresh granola, using quality ingredients, with a level of customer service and personable appeal no other granola can provide.
